Job Description

The main role of the trainee project co-ordination is to gain experience in all aspects relating to the Project Co-ordinator role. These include learning all the required skills that will enable them to: ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards; keep projects organized and running smoothly, gather information and act as the point of contact for all involved in the project, and co-ordinate the work throughout the lifecycle of the project. One of the most important roles for the trainee project co-ordinator is to put into practice all instructions given outlined by the supervisor.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Quotes

Liaising with Clients.
Arrange required resources for a project.
Solution design.
Compilation of quotes.
Sourcing of prices.
Project Coordination

Procurement coordination, project planning, resource scheduling, and client correspondence
Organise and monitor schedules to ensure that deadline are met
On-site support and management, progress reporting, stock management, logistics coordination to get all stock to site, ensure that installation standards are adhered to, quality assurance walk-through post-installation.
Client handover and the compilation of handover documentation.
Project Administration

Reconciliation of project costs and inter-branch charges.
Project forecasts and planning.
Tracking and monitoring of projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Basic knowledge of word and excel
Min of Grade 12, maths and/or accounting required with a good pass rate
Must be able to read and interpret building/floor plans
Must have perfect colour vision as plans, wires and cables are colour coded
Must have excellent and coherent verbal and written communication skills
Must be willing to work long or irregular hours, such as weekends and/or after hours
Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
