Job Description
You will be required to:
Manage the GFIP (Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project) in house.
To update, maintain and manage developed GFIP traffic model.
Report on the impacts of freeway improvements and tolling on a continuous basis.
Process Tom Tom data.
Assist in doing and evaluating HDM4 analysis for the region.
Assist with the evaluation of traffic impact studies.
Conducting and evaluating toll feasibility studies
Incorporation of HCM model outputs into HDM4 analysis and Pavement Management System in order to integrate road capacity upgrade requirements into budgeting process.
To train young engineers from SANRAL to obtain specialist traffic modelling skills.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
BSc in Civil Engineering or Degree in Traffic/Transportation Engineering. Registered with ECSA and SACPCMP. 25 years experience

Skills
Ability to work under pressure Extensive knowledge of relevant industry standards, specifications and legislation. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and solve problems in a timely manner.
