This is why you must stick to one tlof tlof partner

The latest data on new HIV/Aids infections in South Africa shows that the pandemic is still wreaking havoc in our midst.

December is HIV/Aids Awareness Month, but many of us don’t seem to care about the campaign.

I think the World Health Organisation has chosen the right month for the campaign as many people let their guard down during the festive season.

People get too excited, meet new partners and forget to use condoms, especially when they are drunk.

Ever since we assumed responsibilities to prevent Covid-19 infestations, some of us seem to think that HIV has disappeared.

Such ignorance will raise the number of new infections. We still need to get tested for HIV, and couples still need to know each other’s statuses before having s.e.x.

To play our part in reducing new HIV infections, we must stick to one partner and use protection.
