Titan Fitness T-3 Series Power Rack 2023

Titan Fitness makes strength equipment that matches the quality of premium brands while staying at a low price point if you’re stocking your home gym on a budget. Titan makes barbells, dumbbells, weight plates, squat racks, and other strength equipment you’ll need to get a full workout in your home gym.

But one of Titan’s best product lines is their power racks, specifically the T-3 series. You’re probably wondering about quality because Titan’s prices are much lower than other brands with comparable power racks. That’s always been my biggest question when I see Titan’s price tag, too. I’ll be direct: you can trust Titan’s quality and durability.

ACTIVE.com’s editorial team relies on the knowledge and experience of fitness and wellness experts including competitive athletes, coaches, physical therapists, nutritionists, and certified trainers. This helps us ensure the products we feature are of the highest standard. Collectively, the team has spent countless hours researching equipment, gear, and recovery tools in order to create the most accurate, authentic content for our readers. Customer satisfaction is also a key part of our review process, which is why we only feature products that are highly rated.

The Titan T-3 rack is a heavy-duty, budget-friendly alternative to more expensive products like Rogue’s R-3 power rack. This rack is made of 11-gauge steel, so it is strong enough for anyone who wants to lift heavy. Also, the power rack comes ready to be bolted to the floor for extra stability.

What I like about the Titan T-3 is the customization. You can choose between 82 and 91-inch heights, 24 and 36-inch inside depths, whether to include weight plate holders and one of three color options. And if you already have other Rogue equipment, you’re in luck. The T-3 rack is compatible with most Rogue accessories and accessories from other brands.

This rack embodies what Titan has become known for, high-quality equipment.

A Closer Look at the Titan T-3 Series Power Rack

Weight
The weight of your T-3 rack will vary depending on what height and depth option you choose. The rack will be 196 lbs minimum, which is not bad considering the relatively high weight capacity (we’ll discuss that below).

One thing to consider with the T-3 is how much weight you lift. More weight means less stability unless you bolt the rack down.

Weight Capacity
There are two types of weight capacity that you need to know: rackable weight capacity and overall weight capacity. Rackable weight capacity is the amount of weight the unit can hold when the bar is in the rack position. For the T-3, you’ve got a 1,100-pound rackable weight capacity.

Overall weight capacity is how much total weight the unit can hold. That includes the rackable weight, accessories, and weight storage if you choose that option. According to Titan, the T-3 has a 4,400 pounds overall capacity, which speaks to the strength of this rack.

Dimensions
Because of the customization options on the T-3 power rack, the dimensions are going to vary. But if you’re tight on space, the true footprint is what you need. Here are the dimensions of each option:

91″ H x 32.75″ D x 54″ W (24″ depth option)
91″ H x 44.75″ D x 54″ W (36″ depth option)
82″ H x 32.75″ D x 54″ W (24″ depth option)
82″ H x 44.75″ D x 54″ W (36″ depth option)
Material
The T-3 power rack is made of two-by-three-inch 11-gauge steel. If you don’t know how steel is measured, the lower the gauge number, the more durable the steel. 11-gauge steel is on the stronger end of materials for home power racks.

Color
Another custom option on the T-3 is the color of the four posts. You can choose black, red, and navy, but it does appear from their website that red and navy are the most popular. That said, no matter what color finish you choose, the cross-bar, pull-up bars, and j-hooks will be black.
