After weeks of speculation about Thuso Mbedu and DJ Sbu’s relationship status, the actress has finally come out to rubbish claims that she is dating the entrepreneur. The speculations surfaced after videos and pictures of both of their locations in Hollywood were a tad bit too similar.
Despite all the talk, Thuso Mbedu’s manager, Vuyi Mpakanyiswa has rubbished these rumours on her behalf.
Speaking to Move! Vuyi said: “Thuso is not dating DJ Sbu.”
While she doesn’t dispute that the two met up while Thuso was there, she added that “Thuso was in LA since January 2019. They went jet skiing together on her last day there.”
Thuso is now back in South Africa after being overseas for work. “She went to work on her writing, accent training and acting workshop,” her manager explained.
The two-time Emmy award nominee isn’t new to the overseas scene.
Before becoming a popular actress she recieved a scholarship to study in New York. Just over a year ago, Thuso was also rumoured to be dating Trending SA host Dr Musa Mthombeni after pictures of them together went viral on social media.
This claim was also dismissed by the pair.
