A gang of thieves in Schaumburg, Illinois recently stole a flock of new cars from Ziegler Auto Group dealerships.
Surveillance video shows a hooded and masked thief using a locksmith’s device to gain access to a red C8 Chevrolet Corvette under the cover of darkness. The thief then drives away in the midengined supercar.
According to Carscoops, the head of security at the Ziegler Auto Group, Karianne Thomas, said the thieves have taken off with more than a dozen new and used vehicles from its dealerships since the start of the year.
She added that the thieves sometimes re-key the vehicles with new key fobs and go on to use them to commit other crimes.
