The last thing Pearl Shongwe said…

The last things Pearl Shongwe said before she died were somewhat heart-filling and full of wisdom… The 35-year-old SABC and Metro FM news reader Pearl Shongwe was found dead in her Waterfall apartment on Tuesday.

We thought of checking her social media to get a glimpse of the last pictures and captions she put… This got our attention, a post she shared 6 days ago had quite the caption…

Pearl Shongwe

She shared the above pictures and had this to say…  There are infinite lessons to be learnt, if we speak less and listen more. It was an absolute pleasure to imbibe from the well of wisdom that is the incomparable son of the soil this morning. His mere presence had an unmissable impact on us all. It was more than his accomplishments, level of education, stature, knowledge, and outward disposition. But it was his quiet confidence, the softness from where he spoke, his compassion for people, his clarity on the issues afffecting our youth, and his enthusiasm on driving sustainable change, fuelled by the burning desire to have us see a better day. I am moved. We are grateful to you @tembekangcukaitobi for having taken the time to engage with us. Makwande. #100SilentPrayers #Broadcaster #TVGirl #RadioPrincess
