French arms company Thales argues in Zuma case

French arms company Thales has argued they have been unfairly targeted by prosecutors on Tuesday.
Advocate Anton Katz for Thales told the Pietermaritzburg High Court that former NDPP Shaun Abrahams’ behaviour was unconstitutional while attempting to prosecute them.
The company is currently arguing for a permanent stay of prosecution for Thales along with former president Jacob Zuma.
The corruption proceedings against Zuma surround a R2-billion arms deal to build four frigates for South Africa’s navy.
Judge Jerome Mnguni told Katz that his argument does not make sense.
The court case continues on Tuesday.
