Thabo Bester escaped prison, Department of Correctional Services confirms
The Department of Correctional Services has concluded that the body found in a Mangaung cell is not that of Facebook rapist, Thabo Bester.
It says Bester escaped from custody in May last year.
The department says there will be serious consequences for those found to have been involved in his escape.
