Former GP Health MEC in court for alleged tender fraud
Former Gauteng Health MEC Brian Hlongwa is appearing in court on fraud and corruption charges.
It’s alleged that he and eight others illegally awarded a controversial tender dating back to 2007.
The former MEC also allegedly received kickbacks, including a R7-million house for facilitating the contract.
They all face more than 200 charges, including fraud, corruption, money laundering, and racketeering.
