This position will be based at the Head Office in Woodmead.
Description
The purpose of this position is to provide direction, policy and to manage the following activities within Supply Chain Function: Demand Forecasting, Contract Management, Procurement and Inventory Management and Logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Group Tenders and RFQ’s
Collation and technical review of Expression of Interest and Scope of Works from Plant Sites to ensure the correct detail and accuracy
Manage Tender processes to ensure adherence to timelines and criteria
Analysis and evaluation of tenders in terms of pricing, product or quality specifications and service offering
Preparation and evaluation of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) initiatives and tenders
Review and approval of TEAR (Tender and Adjudication Report) document for submission and approval
Communication of Tender Award and Non-Acceptance to all bidders
Contract Management
Drive and manage the prescribed levels of contract coverage to ensure the attainment of both Group and Client Supply Chain Goals and Standards
Assist with the review of Supplier Pricing adjustments and ensure adjustments are in line with pricing adjustment mechanisms
Drive and manage the rationalisation of Minopex Vendors / Suppliers base to optimise group spend in line with sound Supply Chain and Organisational goals
BBBEE
Assist and drive Minopex and Client’s requirements for HDSA supplier equity or ownership
Support and drive Regional and Local Supplier Development in support of Client targets / initiatives
Other
Preparation and communication of quarterly and annual product demand and spend analysis for group and strategic contracts
Advise on qualified sources for goods and services by monitoring local market developments to measure existing rates/cost and achieve uninterrupted supply of the desired goods and services
Report and Control
Ensure timeous and accurate reporting of required information on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis
Qualification Requirements:
BCom (Honours) or relevant Engineering Degree
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management within a mining environment
Strong technical or mechanical background
English language proficiency
Presentation skills
Time management skills
Attention to detail
