Family of slain Tembisa nurse, Lebogang Monene wants closure

Lebogang Monene’s family says it hasn’t received an apology, or even an acknowledgment, from the family of her ex-lover who allegedly shot her while she was on duty.

She is the Tembisa hospital nurse who was gunned down in February.

The suspect, Lucky Mudau, turned the gun on himself but survived.

He’s currently a quadriplegic and using a wheelchair.

“As the Monene family, we are still mourning the death of our sister, our daughter. The healing process has not started yet,” her brother said.

“We were hoping that one day we’ll see someone from Mudau’s family but that has never happened.”

“They were the ones who were supposed to come to us and they’ve never done that.”
