Police Minister Cele has been asked to prioritise probe into Teboho Joala murder, says Mchunu

Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu said that a request has been made to Police Minister Bheki Cele to prioritise the investigation into the murder of Rand Water executive, Teboho Joala.

Mchunu was speaking at Joala’s funeral in Pretoria on Sunday.

The Rand Water executive and his protector were killed in Zakariyya Park, south of Johannesburg earlier this week after unknown gunmen opened fire on them during a charity event.

Mchunu said his death had left a void in the industry.

“Tebogo was not just an executive manager, he was a mentor, a visionary, and a friend to many. His legacy will endure in the projects spearheaded and the positive impact he had on every one of us,” said Mchunu.
