KwaZulu-Natal: At 08H06 Thursday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N2 South-bound just before the Newlands offramp in Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a mini-bus taxi lost control resulting in a rollover.
Medics assessed the scene and found that fourteen occupants of the taxi had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
Another occupant, an adult female had sustained critical injuries.
The critically injured patient was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner and once stabilized was flown by the Netcare 5 specialized helicopter ambulance to a specialist facility.
The fourteen other patients were treated on the scene and once stabilized were transported by various ambulance services to the hospital for further treatment.
