4 arrested for Pietermaritzburg tavern shooting

Four people have been arrested in connection with the Sweet Waters tavern shooting in Pietermaritzburg.

All four will appear in court on Wednesday morning.

Four people died and eight others were injured after gunmen stormed the tavern last Saturday evening.

The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.

Last week, the KwaZulu-Natal Liquor Authority suspended the owner’s licence for three months.

The authority found that the tavern breached its licence conditions.
