Job Purpose
To implement; maintain and innovate a fully functional End User Support environment; inclusive of all EUS (End User Support) IT hardware and software; whilst attaining a maximum uptime and adhering to Nedbank IT policies; procedures and standards.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct Level two and three problem management.
Ensure knowledge gain and support improvement by participating in research and documenting performance tuning processes.
Assist clients through multimedia support including assistance with auditoriums, meeting rooms and providing Level 1 and 2 support.
Support MIS (productivity and vendor MIS, daily, weekly, monthly) through the accurate capturing of activities.
Mitigate risk by restoring and reconfiguring user functionality. Ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure technical and risk standards are met. Provide server backup support.
Maintain Occupational Health and Safety Standards by ensuring a clean office and storeroom environment.
Ensure clean computer room environment and cabling neatness at workstations and network rooms.
Provide first line support on alarms, tape /DVD change.
Ensure standards are met and maintained. Deliver agreed results by actioning additional software.
Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.
Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.
Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.
Identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes.
Ensure product are purchased within agreed budget.
Ensure effective asset management.
Contribute to the achievement of team goals. Ensure knowledge management, continuity and team success through constructive participation in a diverse team and by sharing knowledge with team.
Understand and meet client needs by providing level 1, 2 and 3 operating system support to clients.
Co-ordinate internal and external stakeholders needs.
Ensure client task are completed within agreed timelines.
Ensure smooth workflow through the escalation of client, vendor and internal stakeholder on non-compliance to standard processes.
Ensure stakeholder corrective action by advising stakeholders of non adherence to policies process and procedures.
Ensure effective asset management by providing advice to clients on the purchase of assets.

Required Qualifications
A minimum Diploma in IT is essential.
A BSc. degree in Computer Science would be an advantage.
CompTIA – A+ would be preferred.
CompTIA – N+ would be preferred.
CompTIA – S+ would be preferred.

Minimum Experience Required
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of technical support in PC desktop, laptop configuration, mobile devices and application support including Windows operating systems and software and other applications
problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions.
Should also be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques.
Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
Working knowledge of office automation products (OS365, etc.) and computer peripherals, like printers (including MPS) and scanners
Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
Customer-oriented attitude

Hands-on experience with Windows/UNIX/Mac OS environments
