Eastern Cape pupils left stuck in the mud

Getting an education in the Eastern Cape is a daily gamble for pupils.

From having to navigate dangerous, makeshift bridges getting to and from school to classes conducted within collapsing infrastructure that was made of mud.

Some villagers in the Eastern Cape have resorted to fixing up schools themselves as there has been no help in sight from the provincial government.

As eNCA’s Ronald Masinda reports, communities feel they have no other way to keep their children safe.
