A well-known international company in the extreme sports industry seeks the services of a reliable, honest and trustworthy storeman.
The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
Manage all inventory movements – picking, packing and dispatching.
Draw required inventory for collection timeously and prepare parcels correctly for collection by courier.
Manage inventory receipts in accordance with policies and procedures.
Ensure credits and customer orders are labeled, kept in a separate location and managed efficiently.
Ensure all inventory items have bar-coded labels.
Labeling and allocating bin numbers including organization of the storerooms.
Process claims where required.
Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures.
At all times maintain effective inventory controls and accurate inventory.
Tracking of inventory.
Double checking before dispatch.
Safeguard all inventory items.
Cyclical stock count.
Driving for Company.
Keep the storerooms clean and tidy ensuring inventory can be stored in a dirt-free environment.
Ad hoc duties as requested from time-to-time.
Candidate Requirements
The incumbent in this position should possess the following skills and experience:
Grade 12;
Minimum of 5 (five) years’ experience as a store man;
Computer Literate;
Experience working on a Stock Management software program;
Must be organized and pay close attention to detail; and
Must be willing take on the physical task of moving stock and packing stock.
