Families are calling desperately on police to halt the rampant crime in the northern Johannesburg township.
In recent weeks several people have lost their lives, falling victim to ruthless criminals.
Former community policing forum chairperson, John Makola was one of them.
He was shot dead while trying to foil a robbery.
