Stellenbosch Head Coach Barker comments on Granwald Scott performance

Granwald Scott made his official debut for Stellenbosch FC against his former side yesterday, with Head Coach Steve Barker commenting on his performance.

The 32-year-old officially joined the Western Cape-outfit this month, after his contract with Bidvest Wits came to an end on December 31.

Despite it being his first appearance of the 2019/20 domestic season, the midfielder made his way straight into Head Coach Barker’s starting line-up against Wits at the Cape Town Stadium.

“He hasn’t played a lot of football, he hasn’t been with us long either, so he is a little bit rusty, but I think he played well enough and showed enough signs that he will add good value,” Barker told the media after the game.

“Not having played for so long, obviously he started cramping, we had to make a change, but I do have to manage him. But I was happy with his contribution,” he added.
