State drops all charges against Norma Mngoma

All charges against Norma Mngoma have been withdrawn. The Pretoria Magistrate’s Court made the ruling on Friday. The estranged wife of former minister Malusi Gigaba was charged with crimen injuria and malicious damage to property.

She was accused of damaging a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon vehicle but last month, the high court declared Mngoma’s arrest unlawful. It also ruled that Gigaba had abused his powers by involving the Hawks in a domestic dispute.
