Hawks head says more arrests imminent after state capture report

More arrests are imminent for those that are implicated in the fourth Zondo report on state capture.
That’s according to the Hawks head, Godfrey Lebeya.
Lebeya says dealing with crime is the Hawks’s main priority and those guilty of corruption will be brought to book.
Pressure has been mounting on law enforcement agencies to arrest and prosecute high-profile office bearers guilty of maladministration and wrongdoing at various departments.
“A number of dockets have already been opened, we have been investigating those,” he said.
“That is why I am saying that 68 of them have already been assigned to the ID because its main purpose is to deal with those. We have given them 15 investigators, including doctors and advocates, who are investigating this.”
Part Four of the state capture report was released last month.
It covers six issues, including Eskom, the Free State asbestos scandal, and the housing scandal.
