This week marks two years since the Zondo Commission held its final public hearing.

President Cyril Ramphosa says state capture was one of the worst forms of corruption ever seen.

In his weekly newsletter, Ramaphosa says the government needs to ensure there it is never repeated.

To do this, Cabinet has approved eight of 14 legislative changes.

The National Anti-Corruption Advisory Council is also looking at setting up more anti-corruption bodies.

Ramaphosa is also promising more protection and financial support for whistleblowers.

It all forms part of the government’s plan to implement the recommendations of the State Capture Commission.

The inquiry heard evidence from over 300 witnesses and collected almost two million pages of evidence.
