Eskom has announced that it will implement Stage 6 blackouts from 4pm on Monday until 5am on Tuesday.
That is due to the failure of seven generation units in the past 24 hours.
Stage 4 will kick in from 5 am until 4 pm on Tuesday and then back to stage six.
Stage 3 is scheduled to return on Wednesday.
