Load shedding increased to Stage 5

Dark times ahead this evening as power utility Eskom implements Stage 5 rolling blackouts.
Failure of five generating units at the Medupi and Duvha Power Stations has limited generating capacity.
Three of these units have since been returned to service.
But Eskom has to replenish the emergency reserves on which it’s been drawing extensively.

South African author and activist Zoleka Mandela is celebrating finally finishing radiation treatment therapy for her brain.
The mum of six who has terminal cancer has been sharing updates about her journey as her cancer returned for the third time. Zoleka survived breast cancer twice and was diagnosed with stage three bones, lung and liver cancer. She was also recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Learn More
