Stage 2 power cuts extended to Thursday

Eskom will continue to implement stage 2 blackouts till Thursday from 4pm to midnight.

On Friday the embattled power utility will reduce the power cuts to Stage 1. Eskom says this is due to a persistent shortage of generation capacity.

A further update will be communicated on Friday. Eskom is asking the public to use electricity sparingly.
