SRC President: Wits not taking our issues seriously

The Wits Students Representative Council says it will meet with management this weekend.

This follows escalated protests at the Braamfontein campus on Friday.

Protesting students want to end financial exclusions, more student accommodation, and higher residence allowances.

Shortly after a meeting with management, SRC president Aphiwe Mnyamana spoke to reporter Pule Letshwiti-Jones.

At the same time, Wits University says it can’t address protesting students’ demands as they are based on untrue claims.
