Springbok captain Siya Kolisi appeals to South Africans to help those affected by adverse weather conditions

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has appealed to South Africans to help people affected by adverse weather conditions.

The Western Cape has been declared a disaster area, with an estimated 100,000 people severely affected by the cold weather, heavy rainfall, and flooding.

Kolisi said that adversity brings out the best in South Africans and asked for the spirit of ubuntu to prevail.

“We’re just thinking of everyone that’s in Cape Town, we’ve seen what’s happening. There’s not much we can do from here, but just ask people if you can help somebody else, please do. It’s the perfect time to show ubuntu right now. I know, for some reason, we always come together when we have problems in South Africa. Please, if you have resources or you have time and can help someone else, please do.”
