Londie London’s ex-boyfriend Sphamandla Mabonga arrested again
Controversial South African businessman, and Londie London’s ex-boyfriend Sphamandla Mabonga is making headlines after he was retaken into custody this week.
Mabonga had his shot at fame thanks to his relationship with media personality Londie London.
However, against their fallout, he has often hogged headlines for the wrong reasons, from alleged nightclub brawls to abuse allegations. A local publication reports that Mabonga was taken into custody following his court appearance at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on an unrelated case.
However, Mzansi is yet to connect the dots about his arrest. Recently, he appeared before the courts to answer charges concerning Tempo Nightclub shootings.
Mabonga had a fallout with security guards at Tempo earlier this year after they barred him from entering the popular Johannesburg joint with a gun, and this led to a shootout.
Confirmed reports have it that Londie London’s ex-boyfriend Mabonga is also under investigation for several cases, from assault to fraud. One of the assault cases dates back to December 2023. Media reports have it that Mabonga assaulted a journalist at Konka.
Rumour mill has it that he also recently appeared before the courts to answer fraud charges levelled against him. Reports have it that Mabonga fraudulently purchased several exotic cars last year.
He has undoubtedly splurged millions on his life of glitz and glamour and is unapologetic about it. While still with Londie London, Mabonga reportedly bought her three cars, including a BMW i3 and BMW X5.
However, the police confiscated one of the cars because it was allegedly stolen. The alleged hijacked car reportedly belonged to a security company in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
Mabonga trended a few weeks ago after he threatened MacG after the podcaster took a swipe at him. However, the two have since smoked a peace pipe, according to reports.
In a viral conversation on social media, MacG apologised and cleared the air with Mabonga. One of the podcaster’s texts reads, “I don’t want any problems with you, Bafo [my brother]. I will never speak about you.”
