Parliament failed to protect South Africans, says Zondo

Chief Justice Raymond Zondo does not believe Parliament would have stepped in and stopped the looting.
This is despite the perpetrators were a group other than the Guptas.
He said State capture was all about greed, selfishness, and criminality.
Zondo made these and other bold statements during an interview with reporter Moloko Moloto on Thursday.
Zondo says there is a need for a standing anti-corruption commission to stop state capture from happening again.
He says this will allow people to report corruption allegations directly to the commission, making it more difficult for a majority party to protect its corrupt leaders in Parliament.
