South Africa unemployment rate increases to 33.5% in second quarter

Stats SA says the unemployment rate has increased again, jumping to 33.5% in the second quarter of the year.
This is an increase of more than half a percentage point from the previous quarter.
Stats SA released the latest jobs numbers on Tuesday morning.
South Africa’s official #unemployment rate increased by 0,6 of a percentage point to 33,5 % in Q2:2024 compared to Q1:2024.
