SAPS issues warning against SONA 2023 disruptions

Disruptions in and around the Cape Town City Hall will not be tolerated.
That’s according to the South African Police Services.
Law enforcement agencies say those who will be picketing outside City Hall will have designated areas where they can air their grievances.
“We’ve identified a speaker’s corner on Hanover Street for people who like to protest and have the grievances heard,” said police spokesperon Athlenda Mathe.
“So it’s safe to say as NATJOINTS it’s all system go, we are ready and we are confident that once again we’ll deliver the SONA in a safe and secure environment.”
