Somizi knows how to put Tweeps in their place
There is never a dull moment in Mzansi, just recently media personality Somizi Mhlongo, landed himself in hot water with his utterances on the lockdown extension. This follows after he joked and said Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula, informed him that the lockdown will be extended prior to the president’s announcement.
The president made the announcement and the lockdown was indeed extended, which had many smelling a rat that the Minister might have privately informed him. This saga landed Somgaga in jail after Mbalula had opened a case against him.
Yesterday, as President Cyril Ramaphosa, would be addressing the nation on the lock-down and economic relief measures, everyone was waiting with bated breath for the announcement. Twitter users asked Somizi to let the cat out of the bag again because they were suffering from a major FOMO. They even called for him to be cancelled under the #SomiziMustFall, because he was not delivering the content they needed.
Somizi posted a cryptic message on twitter which left many confused on how long the lockdown extension will be if it will happen. We guess homeboy was trying to avoid being on the firing line again, but he does not shy away from joking.
