Western Cape govt going ahead with R80 million hospital solar plan

While government prepares to appeal the judgment that exempts schools, hospitals, clinics, and police stations from rolling blackouts, the Western Cape Government is going ahead with spending R80m on installing solar panels at 15 hospitals in the province.
Recently, the Infrastructure Department installed 1,400 solar panels and five inverters at the Karl Bremer Hospital precinct to help assist the grid.
