Our client requires the service of a Junior Software Developer.

Key performance areas:

Developing of software components for product pipelines, e.g. interfaces with cameras and lasers, inter-component communication, interfaces with databases and industrial protocols like OPC.
Developing automated deployment mechanisms and health monitoring capabilities using IOT technologies
Assist with product deployments and upgrades including configuring of cameras and lasers, configuring of software components
Writing of unit tests, systems tests, and setup of Gitlab CI pipelines
Adhering and contributing to company QA processes.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

Matric with a Degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering with software development subjects.
Experience in object orientated software development in C++ and Python.
Experience with test automation, e.g. TDD, CI.
Knowledge of Agile software development processes.
Experience with SQL and Redis
Experience with GIT and GITLAB.
Experience with containers and IOT frameworks like Azure IOT Edge
Motivated, quick learner, enthusiastic, personality and aptitude to take initiative.
Willing to learn and gain experience and share the learning with colleagues (i.e. team player).
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work individually and within a team
