Gauteng: At 10H38 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of smoke inhalation at a veld fire next to the R559 in Middelvlei AH Randfontein.
Reports from the scene indicate that four people had suffered smoke inhalation while trying to douse the flames.
All the patients were assessed on scene by medics and found to be in a stable condition.
The patients, however, declined ambulance transportation to the hospital.
The fire was eventually doused by the fire department and local community.
