Actress Slindile Nodangala (Deliwe Mbambo) leaves ‘Sibongile & The Dlaminis’

Following Slindile Nodangala‘s shocking exit from Sibongile & The Dlaminis, M-Net has revealed that it won’t replace her.

Silindile from Umlazi, south of Durban, played the cruel stepmother, Deliwe Mbambo.

It seems she played the character well as viewers were always puzzled by Deliwe’s cruelty towards her stepdaughter, Sibongile.

M-Net said Deliwe’s husband, Vuma has to learn to live without Deliwe, confirming the show won’t bring in another actress to replace Silindile.

M-NET director of local entertainment channels, Shirley Adonisi said Deliwe’s journey had come to an end.

“Mzansi Wethu bids farewell to Silindile Nodangala, who played the role of Deliwe Mbambo in Season 1 of Sibongile & The Dlaminis. With the story evolving and new characters joining the cast, Deliwe’s journey has come to an end,” Adonisi said.

She praised Deliwe’s talent, saying it shone brightly on the show and other shows across Mzansi.

Adonisi added that after Silindile’s exit, the show goes on.

“Despite her departure, there’s plenty to look forward to in the new season, including new secrets, Sibongile’s next chapter, and the future of Vuma’s love life without Deliwe.”

New actors, including Baby Cele, have joined Sibongile & The Dlaminis in its second season.

Silindile has played different roles on different shows including Generations, Scandal!, Rhythm City and Outlaws.
