Gauteng: At 21H53 Friday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Victoria Road in Lombardy East.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control then crashing into a tree.
The patient was found to have sustained serious injuries and was treated on the scene.
Once stabilized the patient was flown by a Netcare 911 Helicopter ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

Bail has been set at R500 for a Stellenbosch University student who allegedly s.e.xually assaulted a fellow student.
The attack, which occurred on Friday evening at a Tygerberg residence, has sparked an outcry among the university’s student body.
The accused appeared in the Bellville Magistrates Court on Friday and the State did not oppose bail on condition that he does not contact the complainant. continue reading
