Site Manager – Mechanical & Electrical (Process Plants)

What you need:
Our Site Installations Department in Johannesburg is has a spot open for a Site Manager with energy and drive! This role calls for someone who has extensive experience managing the installation of process plants, if these are manufacturing process plants even better. A good 10+ years of hands on experience and a proven track record in managing Sub Contractors and Commercial Contracts will give you the upper hand.
There are a few things we won’t budge on and that’s your that your experience in bringing the Mechanical & Electrical aspects of the projects together. Yes you heard correctly, this is not a building or civils job, it’s a mechanical and electrical/job. A Mechanical Degree or Diploma will score you some brownie points.
What you can expect to do:
You will be managing site teams of various skill levels and statures and therefore your ability to multitask, coordinate and communicate at all levels is of the utmost importance. Your role starts once the project has been awarded and from there you will need to make sure you understand the scope of work in order to manage the site establishment, materials, project schedule/deliverables, sub-contractors, health & safety, and project costs.
Pretty much site Management from start to finish.
Oh and just to be clear, although you’ve been at the game long enough to know that his role requires extensive travel. The role is based ON site and as you will move from with one site to the next. In between and during project preparation you will be based at our office in Johannesburg.
