Amapiano vocalist Sir Trill begs Mzansi for prayers

We’re all still struggling to come to terms with the passing of Killer Kau, Mpura, Khanya Hadebe and three other individuals. The six tragically passed on following a car crash on their way to a performance in Rustenburg.

Popular Amapiano vocalist, Sir Trill has also opened up about how this has affected him. He has pleaded with the nation to pray for musicians as they constantly put their lives at risk by travelling to gigs at night.

“Pray for all of us.” Tweeted the rising star. “We have to speed up to get to you and make you dance and happy. We are not Safe every day. Pray for your favourite artist to actually get to the venue, it gets hectic.”

Lady Du also asked the nation to put musicians in their prayers. She has revealed that she’s never felt so weak following the untimely passing of her friends and colleagues.

“Guys please understand that I am not a celebrity when it comes to losing people that I care about. I have never been and felt so weak in my life. Mpura and Killer Kau touched me in a way that nobody else has ever touched me and I don’t expect other people to understand that.

“So when we lose people stop calling us and asking us what’s going on, stop asking what happened and just pray, learn to pray. Sibancane ukuth singashona kanje (we are too young to be dying like this.”

Lady Du added that she can’t even mourn in peace as she’s getting constant calls from people asking her what is going on. All she asks is that we all join in prayer.

“You can’t even cry in peace. You have people calling you and asking what’s going on. No! Don’t do that. Pray for people. Artists are broken. We are broken as a nation. We are not united and it is days like this that we realise that life is too short. And we need to be there for one another. We need to stay strong in everything that we do and we need to pray for one another because we risk our lives to get to events to make people happy. Today we lost our brothers.”
