Sifiso Mkhwanazi trial: S.e.x worker who almost fell victim concludes testimony

A s.e.x worker who claims to have almost fallen victim to alleged serial killer Sifiso Mkhwanazi has concluded her evidence in the trial against the 21-year-old.

The Johannesburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge has heard from three witnesses in the main trial so far.

They all delivered damning evidence against Mkhwanazi, who faces six counts of murder and seven of rape.

On Tuesday, Miss A – an alias used by the witness to protect her identity walked the court through the last day she saw Joyce Moyo – one of the six s.e.x workers allegedly killed by Mkhwanazi.

She described the clothing Moyo wore that day – a short skirt and a denim jacket that she believes lured the unidentified driver of the van that took her.

Moyo’s decomposing body was found at Mkhwanazi’s father’s business property in the Joburg CBD, seven days after her disappearance.

While being cross-examined by the defence, Miss A contradicted herself when asked about the van that picked Moyo up.

On Monday, she confirmed that the van shown to her as part of evidence was the van in question, however, on Tuesday she said she was uncertain.

The court is set to hear from more witnesses in the coming days.
