Komani in the Eastern Cape remains shut down.
Residents are upset at an absence of service delivery.
The protest action is taking a toll on residents, with businesses forced to close and access restricted.
Businessman Ken Clarke said service delivery in the area has been a challenge for a long time, “the fundamental issue here is there is no planning, there is no maintenance plan to sort things out. And there is no situation where we say, “this is the problem that is recurring on an ongoing basis, how do we deal with it?”
