Police in the USA have launched a manhunt for an unidentified gunman who shot five family members as they attended a funeral on Thursday, 2 June.

According to Daily Mail, the mourners were bidding farewell to Da’Shontay L King (37), who was killed in March. During the funeral at Graceland Cemetery in Racine at around 2.30pm, an unnamed gunman opened fire.

In a statement, Racine Police Department said the victims were reportedly being treated at Ascension All Saints Hospital.

It was reported that the deceased was shot dead by cops who were doing a stop and search on a busy road as part of a firearms investigation.

“King got out of his vehicle armed with a gun. A cop reportedly ordered him to stop and comply with commands, but police say he refused, and the cop fired. The incident was caught on body cameras,” the article read.
