Motorist shot outside shopping centre

Gauteng: At 18H14 Friday night, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting on Leeuwkop Road in Sunninghill, Sandton.

Reports indicate an adult male had been shot whilst waiting to enter a local shopping centre.

Medics assessed the scene and found that the 23-year-old patient had sustained a gunshot wound to his right upper leg.

The patient was treated on scene by an advanced life support paramedic and once stabilized was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further care.

Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the SAPS who were on the scene.
