KZN Premier Zikalala visits families of Inanda shooting victims

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala is calling on the community to assist in finding those responsible for the killing of three women in a drive-by shooting in Inanda.

Zikalala said they were not expecting political violence, despite some dissatisfaction with the candidate lists.

The women were attending a community meeting to select ANC candidates for the upcoming elections.

Five others were injured in the shooting incident.

Cynthia O’Neil, the neighbour to Afrotainment boss and record producer Mthokozisi “DJ Tira” Khathi, is out on warning after allegedly assaulting the popular musician’s wife, Gugu.

O’Neil made a brief appearance at the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where the matter was postponed to September 22. National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed that O’Neil faces a charge of common assault and that the matter “was postponed for further investigations”. Learn More
