Judgment reserved in Shell seismic survey case

Judgment has been reserved in an urgent interdict application to stop petroleum giant Shell from continuing with its seismic survey.
The application was brought by organizations including the Amadiba Crisis Committee and the Dwesa-Cwebe Association.
They argue that they were not consulted and that their rights including fishing rights are being violated.
Two weeks ago, an application brought by environmental groups was dismissed after the court found that claims of harmful effects on marine life were speculative.
