Sergio Romero Involved in a horrific car crash

Manchester United substitute goalkeeper Sergio Romero was involved in a horrific car crash with his Lamborghini on his way to the club’s training ground this morning. 32-year-old Romero has served as a back-up for David de Gea since arriving at Manchester United in 2015 under the management of Louis van Gaal.

Known as a reliable understudy and a key figure for the Argentina national team with 96 senior caps, the shot-stopper made headlines in the United Kingdom this morning.

Pictures and videos went viral on social media of Romero after he crashed his Lamborghini worth a reported £170,000 (R3.2 million) and he miraculously remained unharmed from the incident.

The accident that resulted in Romero’s car underneath the roadside barriers is believed to have taken place near the club’s Carrington training base.

More to follow on his condition….
