Kelly Khumalo is sick and tired of being accused of Senzo Meyiwa’s death

Kelly Khumalo has had enough. Y’all have pushed her to the limit and in a fierce statement this week, the singer has finally hit back over the claims that many people have been suggesting on the timeline.

Kelly (who doesn’t want to be known as uSis’ Kelly by the way) has been quiet for years as many people have insinuated that she had something to do with the murder of Senzo Meyiwa. She has had to deal with accusations from social media trolls; she watched as Adv. Barry Roux’s conspiracy theory ran wild and people believed it; she even walked off stage at an EFF gig after fans demanded answers for a crime she says she knows nothing about. But this week was the final straw.

It all began when the South African police claimed to have made a breakthrough in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa case. We’ve heard this before, but this time a report in Sunday World claimed that warrants of arrest were pending for a total of eight people; three of whom were well-known celebrities and one of whom was a top cop who helped cover things up.

Upon learning of the latest development in the story, many people in Mzansi put two and two together and reached an answer: Kelly Khumalo. Before she could even be tried in a court of law, many people had already convicted her of the crime at large – and after watching her name dragged through the mud for the umpteenth time, Kelly hit back with a harshly worded statement.

Part of it read:

“If you strongly feel, believe and have evidence that I had something to do with my daughter’s father’s killing or I’m somehow protecting the killers? Then by all means necessary do lock me away and throw away the key. ”

Sadly, many people still feel as if Kelly was guilty and are calling for her immediate arrest but it is important to remind people that the star is innocent until proven guilty and until such time as a court of law tells us otherwise, then it is unfair to convict the singer.
