Bheki Cele: There is progress on the Senzo Meyiwa murder case

Police Minister Bheki Cele says there is progress on the Senzo Meyiwa murder case. Cele says a team of four prosecutors has been appointed to work closely with police investigating the case.

“Never before have police worked so closely with the prosecuting authority on the matter,” Cele said. Meyiwa was gunned down at the house of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in 2014.

Soon afterwards, police arrested a suspect but he was later released. Nearly six years later, the family and the country are not clear what transpired on that day.
