A dentist giving evidence in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has testified that one of the accused had no signs of trauma during his examination.
Dr Thabang Hlokwa, who inspected accused number two Bongani Ntanzi in 2020, is the final state witness in the trial-within-a-trial.
Ntanzi was taken for an examination to determine whether he ever had a gold tooth.
This comes as one of the intruders that the state believes murdered the Bafana Bafana captain was described as having a gold tooth in 2014.
Meyiwa was killed at the Vosloorus home of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in October 2014, in what was said to be a botched robbery.
The state is looking to have confession statements by Ntanzi and his co-accused, Muzikawkhulelwa Sibiya, admitted as evidence, but both men claim they were coerced and beaten into signing the statement.
Hlokwa said nothing in the examination of the mouth, skull, or upper body indicated trauma.
The trial continues.
